Annotate Text dialogue box

After you select an amount of text in an open document, the selected text menu appears. Select Annotate to add an annotation of up to 4000 characters and to highlight the text as if you have marked it with a translucent marker. The Annotate Text dialogue box appears and displays both an unlabeled text box and a palette of colours. Enter your annotation and choose the colour of highlighting to apply to the selected text.

Important: If you annotate text, then abandon the document (for example, by returning to the results list or by going to the next or previous document) before saving it in a folder or otherwise delivering it, Lexis Advance Pacific automatically removes the annotation.

Refer to the table below for information about the items in the Annotate Text dialogue box.
