Formatting a TXT or CSV file for upload
When you retrieve a list of companies or executives by uploading a file with a list of ticker symbols, DUNS numbers, or Dossier IDs, the file must:
- Be saved as a plain text (TXT) or comma separated values (CSV) format. TXT files are produced by text editors like Windows Notepad, and CSV files are produced by spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel.
- Contain only ticker symbols, DUNS numbers, or Dossier IDs. Do not include any other information like column headings, company names, or address information.
- Contain a comma between each item. Spaces, semicolons, slashes, etc. are not valid.
