Recent & Favourites
After you select one or more search filters, apply them to a search, and generate a set of results, Lexis Advance® Quicklaw® automatically adds the filters to the Recent & Favourites list, where you can select them for use in later searches.
You can open the Recent & Favourites list and take any of the following actions:
- Mark or remove a filter as a favourite.
- Remove a filter from the list.
Indicates the filter is a recent filter but not a favourite. Select the icon to mark the filter as a favourite. | ||

After you select one or more search filters, apply them to a search, and generate a set of results, Quicklaw® automatically adds the filters to the Recent & favorites list, where you can select them for use in later searches.
You can prevent any filter from being automatically removed from the Recent & Favourites list by marking it as a favorite. You can mark a filter as a favorite by accessing the Recent & Favourites list or from a Results list.
After selecting one or more filters and running a search:
- Select Filters from the search box.
- Select Recent & Favourite from the box that is displayed.
- Find the filter you want to mark as a favourite and select the "empty" star () to the right of its name. The star changes to a "filled" star () to indicate you have marked it as a favourite.
After optionally selecting one or more filters and running a search:
- Select content from the Search Within Results box on the left margin below the Narrow By heading to further filter your

- Select the "empty" star () below the list of filters. The Save Filters as Favourite box is displayed.
- Choose one of the following options:
- If you want the favourite filter to include only the currently selected content type, select the Current category option.
- If you want the favourite filter to include all the content types containing results for this search, select the All categories shown for this search option.
- Click Save.
When you remove a filter as a favorite, it remains on the Recent & Favourites list as a recent filter, until it is otherwise removed from the list.
To remove a filter as a favorite, select the "filled" star () to the right of its name. The star changes to an "empty" star () to indicate it is no longer a favorite.
