Using Pre-Search Filters

You can restrict your search to a specific source or topic so you have fewer results. When you get your results, you can narrow them further using the filters on your results page. Use one of these methods to restrict your search.

To use a pre-filter search:

1. At the Red Search box, enter your search terms.
2. Select the Search Everything drop-down list in the Search bar (this is optional). A drop-down menu is displayed, showing tabs for Jurisdiction, Content Type, Legal Topics, Recent & Favourites or Assisted Search.
3. Choose one of these tabs to view the available filters.
4. Select one or more checkboxes from the displayed lists.
5. Click the Search button to run your search.
