Search for Specific Content Types

You can use search filters to limit your searches to specific jurisdictions, content types, legal topics, and sources. This article describes how to limit searches to specific jurisdictions or content types. Tip: After you select one or more filters and generate a set of results, Lexis+™ Canada automatically adds the filters to the Recent & Favourites list, where you can select them for use in later searches.
  1. Enter your search terms.
  2. Select the Search Everything button at the right edge of the search box.
  3. Select Jurisdiction or Content Type in the left margin, depending on the type of search filter you want to use.
  4. Select one or more checkboxes of the jurisdictions or content types to which you want to limit your search. For example, to limit your search to cases, select the Cases checkbox in the Content Type list.
  5. Repeat the steps above as often as needed to select any additional search filters.
  6. Select Search.
