View Formats

New Results

You may choose two ways to view a specific document by selecting the desired Change view setting on the Results page. Each option displays a slightly different level of detail.

Normal viewClick the Normal view icon to display the full article along with search tabs, delivery options, and location where the system obtained the document.
Plain viewClick the Plain view icon to display the full article, except do not include the search tabs or the location where the system obtained the document.
HighlightsIf desired, toggle this ON/OFF button to highlight or stop highlighting the keywords you provided to search for this document.

Classic Results

You may choose how you view your search results by selecting an option from the Show drop-down list on the Results page. Each option displays a different level of detail:

ValueDescription
ListDisplays basic information in a numbered list, about the documents your search found. The information typically includes the title/name, court/tribunal, source and date, although information will vary depending on the sources you have searched.
Expanded ListDisplays the same information as in List view for each document, along with your search terms in context. You may click on one of your search terms in the Results list to go directly to that term in the full text document.
Full TextDisplays the full text of the documents your search found.
Full Text with IndexingDisplays all the functionality of Full Text view plus all Index Terms associated with the document.
List with Catchwords (Cases Sources Only)Displays the same information as the List View for each document as well as the first 20 catchwords of the case (where available).
Hits in Context (News Sources Only)Displays the headline for each document, along with each of your search terms surrounded by a window of 25 words.
