What is the Search within results feature?
New Results
Use the Results for box to search for a more specific topic within your original search results.
On the new results page, if you have clicked on a content type tab, the search is performed only across the documents contained in the selected category.
Classic Results
Use the Search within results box to search for a more specific topic within your original search results. This search retrieves a subset of your original results.
On the classic results page, if you are viewing a Result Group, a "Search within results" will run on the full Results list, not just the group you are currently viewing. After you narrow your search results, only those groups that contain the narrowed search terms will appear in the Result Groups pane.
The "Search within results" box does not appear if:
- You are viewing only tagged results
- You accessed the document from the Recent Documents page or by browsing the TOC
- Your results include only one document
