Show | Change the way you view your search results by selecting an option from the Show drop-down list. Each option displays a different level of detail: - List
- Displays basic information in a numbered list, about the documents your search found. The information typically includes the title/name, court/tribunal, source and date, although information will vary depending on the sources you have searched.
- Expanded List
- Displays the same information as in List view for each document, along with your search terms in context. You may click on one of your search terms in the Results list to go directly to that term in the full text document.
- Full Text
- Displays the full text of the documents your search found.
- List with Catchwords (Cases Sources Only)
- Displays the same information as the List View for each document as well as the first 20 catchwords of the case (where available).
- Hits in Context (News Sources Only)
- Displays the headline for each document, along with each of your search terms surrounded by a window of 25 words.

Search within results | Use this box to search for a more specific topic within your original search results. This search retrieves a subset of your original results.

Next Steps | Select an option from this drop-down list and then click on Go to continue working with your results. The options that appear are dependent on the way that you arrived at your results and the content you are viewing. - Edit Search
- Click on this to edit your original search.
- New Search
- Click on this to start a new search. You'll return to the same search form you used to enter the current search.
- Save Search
- Click on this to save this search (including search terms, date range, and source).
- Create Alert
- Click on this to set up this search to run on a schedule that you specify and deliver results to you automatically.
- Search Source
- Click on this to enter a new search using the source for this document.
- More Like This
- Click on this to automatically search for documents that are similar to the one you are viewing.
- Check Citation
- Click on this to view citator information, which helps you determine the usefulness and validity of the current document.
- Related Content
- Click on this to navigate to other content associated with the document you are viewing, such as Cases or a Table of Statutes (depending on the content available to you under your subscription).

Delivery Icons | Click on one of the following icons to print, email or download your results. For more information, see Print Documents Page, E-mail Documents Page and Download Documents Page, respectively. - Print all or selected documents to an attached printer.
- E-mail all or selected documents to one or more email addresses.
- Download all or selected documents to a file.

Explore legal topics | When Topic guides is enabled in your Preferences, if the application finds a match
between any of your search terms and terms contained in the LexisNavigator (legal terms) source, it displays those
terms and short definitions of them at the top of the results list under this heading. You can click on the term
to display more information, including synonyms and related terms. |
