ValueDescription
Show

Change the way you view your search results by selecting an option from the Show drop-down list. Each option displays a different level of detail:

List
Displays basic information in a numbered list, about the documents your search found. The information typically includes the title/name, court/tribunal, source and date, although information will vary depending on the sources you have searched.
Expanded List
Displays the same information as in List view for each document, along with your search terms in context. You may click on one of your search terms in the Results list to go directly to that term in the full text document.
Full Text
Displays the full text of the documents your search found.
List with Catchwords (Cases Sources Only)
Displays the same information as the List View for each document as well as the first 20 catchwords of the case (where available).
Hits in Context (News Sources Only)
Displays the headline for each document, along with each of your search terms surrounded by a window of 25 words.
Search within resultsUse this box to search for a more specific topic within your original search results. This search retrieves a subset of your original results.
Note: If your original search returned a large number of results (see "Search resulting in a large number of results" below), the application displays only the first 1,000 of those results, and this search runs against only those 1,000 results.
