Use the BYLINE command to search within document bylines for the name of an author or journalist.

For example, the following search finds documents whose byline contains the name "Richard Dawkins":

BYLINE(Richard Dawkins)

This search finds documents published by the New York Times whose byline contains the name "Thomas Pynchon":

BYLINE(Thomas Pynchon) AND PUB(New York Times)
