Research Map Page

Nexis Uni® automatically saves to History your activities, such as:

  • Searches
  • Search terms
  • Results
  • Filters you applied or removed
  • Deliveries

These items are saved to your history for 90 days.

You can display your research history in a graphic view, or "map", so you can see these items at a glance and select them for detailed information.

To display your history in a graphic view, select History at the top of any page, then Research Map. See the descriptions below for more information about using the map feature of your research history.

Note: To view your history in List view, select View all history, instead of Research Map. See Research History - List Page for details.

List / Research MapClick List to view your search history in a results list view. Click Research Map to view it in the map (graphical) view.
Search Within HistoryTo search your history for specific items, enter words (such as a search term or part of a document title) and select the search icon (Search ). (To clear your search and view the full history map again, select Reset map to default state link under the search box.)
Reset map to default stateSelect this to restore the map to what it was before you made any selections.
View byChoose whether to display the list of searches by the date you originally conducted the search, or by the last time you modified the search.
DateSelect this to display searches for a specific date or date range.
Show TrailsThis list, located in the left pane, shows all the different items in your search history. To hide certain research trails from the map, clear the associated checkbox. To view where a specific research trail appears on the map, select the Jump to trail icon. (The list will be scrolled to that specific trail and it will be highlighted briefly.) To view everything in your history, select All Trails.
Add to folderTo save a copy of the history map in its current form to a folder, select the Add to folder icon at the top of the map.
Print to attached printerTo select one or more documents to print to an attached printer, select the checkboxes next to the documents in the list, and then select the Printer icon from the delivery menu.
SaveTo select one or more documents to save to your computer, select the checkboxes next to the documents in the list, and then select the Save icon from the delivery menu.
EmailTo select one or more documents to email, select the checkboxes next to the documents in the list, and then select the Email icon from the delivery toolbar.
Cloud DeliveryTo select one or more documents to send to Dropbox or Google Drive, select the checkboxes next to the documents in the list, select the Cloud Delivery icon from the delivery menu, and then choose the option you want.
Send to GoogleTo select one or more documents to send to Google Drive, select the checkboxes next to the documents in the list, and then select the Send to Google Drive icon from the delivery menu.
Printable Page Printable pageSelect Printer-Friendly View from the delivery toolbar.
Compare Search ResultsCompares the results sets of up to 3 searches to find all the documents of the same content type that are common to the results sets.
Find Similar DocumentsFinds documents that are similar to up to 3 documents you select from a results set.
SearchClick the Search icon to view details about the search.
Content typeClick the Content Type icon to view details about the results documents in this content type.
Filter addedClick the Filter (Apply) icon to view details about the filters you applied to your results.
Filter removedClick the Filter (Remove) icon to view details about filters you removed from your results.
DownloadClick the Download icon to view details about items that were saved to your computer.
EmailClick the Email icon to view details about items that were sent as emails.
PrintClick the Print icon to view details about items that were printed.
Saved to folderClick the Folder icon to view details on items that were saved in a folder.
Compare search resultsClick the Compare Search Results icon to view details about a comparison that was done for a specific set of search results.
Send to DropboxClick the Send to Dropbox icon to view details about items that were sent to Dropbox.
AlertClick the Accessed from a search alert icon to view details on items that were accessed from a search alert and printed, Shepardized®, or had another action performed on it.
HistoryClick the Accessed from history icon to view details on items that were accessed from your search history.
Shepard'sClick the Shepard's® search item icon to view details on a Shepard's® search.
Open/Close listClick the Open icon to open a list of additional items available to be viewed, or to close the list.
