How do I save a source as a favorite?

If there's a source you often search in, you can save it as a favorite for future searches, in one of two ways.

To save a source as a favorite from the source list:

  1. On the Lexis Advance® home page, select the Browse drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  2. Select Sources.
  3. Do one of the following:
    To...Do This
    Browse through all sources alphabeticallySelect All Sources, then use the alphabetical listing to find the source you want.
    Select a source by categorySelect a category, such as By Jurisdiction, By Practice Area, etc. from the list, then select a sub-category, if there is one.
  4. When you see the source you want to use, select it.
  5. From the menu that appears, select Add source as a search filter.
    Note: If you have selected any other filters for this search, they will be replaced by your selection.
  6. On the search form, select Filters.
  7. Select Recent & Favorites from the pane on the left.
  8. Click the star (Save as favorite filter) next to the source you want to save as a favorite. The star turns yellow (Favorite filter) to indicate that the source has been saved as a favorite.
  9. To remove the source from your favorites, select the Favorite next to it.

 

To save a source as a favorite from the search box:

  1. On the home page, type the name of a source into the Search box.

    As you type, possible source names are displayed beneath the search box, next to Add Source as a Filter.

  2. Select the source you want to use.
    Note: If you have selected any other filters for this search, they will be replaced by your selection.
  3. On the search form, select Filters.
  4. Select Recent & Favorites from the pane on the left.
  5. Click the star (Save as favorite filter) next to the source you want to save as a favorite. The star turns yellow (Favorite filter) to indicate that the source has been saved as a favorite.
  6. To remove the source from your favorites, select the Remove favorite next to it.
