Insert Shepardize® links
Select this option to create a link that will provide an updated Shepard's report for your citation.
Insert Shepard's Signal™ indicators
Select this option to insert the current Shepard's Signal™ indicators after each of your applicable citations. If a Shepard's Signal indicator is not available for your citation, BriefLink will insert a Shepardize link.
Document typeSelect the file format for the brief you want emailed.
Word Document (Doc)
Choose this option to send the brief in .doc format. Files in .doc format can be edited.
Portable Document Format (PDF)
Choose this option to sent the brief in .pdf format. PDF files can be opened and viewed using the Adobe® Acrobat Reader, an application that may be downloaded free if you do not already have it.
Compress files in .ZIP formatSelect this checkbox if you want to send the files in a compressed (ZIP) file format.
  • Some email servers are unable to accept large file sizes. Smaller, compressed files are more likely to be received.
  • Compressed files take up less space in the recipient's mailbox.
  • When downloading, compressed files take up less space on your computer's local drive.
Note: Files send in ZIP format can be opened and viewed using WinZip®, an application that may be purchased from this location: http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm if the recipient does not already have it.
Document nameEnter up to 100 characters.
ToIf you enter more than one email address, separate them with a semicolon. The default value is the email address associated with your Lexis® account.
SubjectThe default value for the subject line is "Email: Report Name. You can, however, choose your own subject line value of up to 80 characters. There is also an optional box for entering text for the body of the email.
