How do I add a note to an item in one of my folders in Lexis Practice Advisor®?

You can add notes to any item, such as a document or a section of text, that you have stored in a Folder in Lexis Practice Advisor®. To add a note, follow the steps below.

  1. From the More drop-down at the top of any Lexis Practice Advisor page, select Folders. A new page appears, displaying a list view of the Folders you have created.
  2. Open the Folder with the item to which you want to add notes. A new page appears, displaying a list of the items saved in the Folder.
  3. Open the precedent to which you want to add notes.
  4. At the top of the page, select Add Notes. The Add Notes pop-up window appears.
  5. Type the text of the note.
    Tip: Notes can be a maximum of 4,000 characters.
  6. Select the Save button. Lexis Practice Advisor Attempts to save your note, associating it with the precedent you are viewing. The Add Notes pop-up closes, and a message appears at the top of the page indicating the success or failure of the action.
