How does OneCase work in the Graphical View?

Lexis Advance® Quicklaw® offers OneCase, in which multiple versions of a case resulting from parallel citations, and all case-summaries associated with a specific decision, are rolled-up into a single unique entry on your search result page. When you look at your results list in the graphical view, you'll see excerpts from the citation that best matches your search terms. The colours on the bar show you the exact location of each of your search terms in the full document. Because OneCase selects the best example from all the parallel citations, the visual representation of the search terms will be from the citation selected as the best matches your search criteria. To find a passage's terms in the full document when you open it in full graphical view, follow these steps.

  1. Select a citation from your results and click View this passage in full document to open it in full view.
  2. Look for the pointers below the search term location bar. The star pointer indicates the location of the most relevant excerpt. The caret pointers indicate the location of the remaining excerpts.
