About Lex Machina?
What is Lex Machina?
Lex Machina provides Legal Analytics® to law firms and companies, providing tools to help craft successful strategies, win cases, and close business. Lex Machina mines litigation data, revealing insights about judges, law firms, lawyers, parties, and case subjects themselves, culled from millions of pages of litigation information. Because analytics involve the discovery and communication of meaningful patterns in data, these insights are called "Legal Analytics".
How Does Lex Machina Work with Lexis®?
LexisNexis has incorporated a free preview of Legal Analytics for judges, law firms, and attorneys. There are several ways you can access Legal Analytics in Lexis:
- Click the link for a judge, a law firm, or an attorney in the Legal Analytics pod, located on the right side of the document page.
- Click a linked judge, law firm, or attorney in the document page to view additional information about the judge or law firm, and then click the View Lex Machina analytics link.
Once you click a Lex Machina link, you will be taken to the Lex Machina service where Lexis subscribers can view a free preview of Legal Analytics for the judge, law firm, or attorney.
