How do I suspend, reactivate, or permanently deactivate multiple users simultaneously?

Note: This function is restricted to system administrators only.
Note: When the selected users are active, you can suspend their user IDs immediately or specify a future date on which their IDs will automatically be suspended. When the selected users are suspended, you can reactivate their user IDs for an indefinite period of time, or you can reactivate their IDs and specify a future date on which their IDs automatically will be suspended again. You can permanently deactivate either active or suspended users' IDs, but after doing so, you cannot reactivate them.
  1. Click on the Admin link in the global navigation bar at the top of the page.
  2. Click on the Users tab.
  3. Click on the View Users tab. A list of users appears.
    Tip: If the list of users is not the correct one, you can select different options:
    1. Select from the Account, Product, and Preference Groups drop-down lists.
    2. Select to view active, suspended, or all users.
    3. Click on Update List.
  4. Select the checkboxes next to names of the users for whom you want change the ID status.
    Note: Select either active users or suspended users, but not both. You cannot select permanently deactivated users, and you cannot manage a selection that includes both active and suspended users.
  5. Click on Manage Selected Users.
  6. Choose what to do on the Manage Selected Users page:
    If you want to...Then...
    Suspend the selected active users immediately
    1. Select Status in the Change drop-down list.
    2. Select Suspended in the To drop-down list.
    Specify a date on which the selected active users will automatically be suspended
    1. Select Status in the Change drop-down list.
    2. Select Temporarily active until in the To drop-down list.
    3. Specify the date on which the users' IDs should be suspended. Select a date from the month, day, and year drop-down lists or click on the calendar icon to choose a date.
    Reactivate the selected suspended users for an indefinite period of time
    1. Select Status in the Change drop-down list.
    2. Select Active in the To drop-down list.
    Reactivate the selected suspended users for only a specific period of time
    1. Select Status in the Change drop-down list.
    2. Select Temporarily active until in the To drop-down list.
    3. Specify the date on which the users' IDs should automatically return to suspended status. Select a date from the month, day, and year drop-down lists or click on the calendar icon to choose a date.
    Permanently deactivate the selected active or suspended users
    1. Select Status in the Change drop-down list.
    2. Select Permanently deactivated in the To drop-down list.
  7. Click on Save Changes.
  8. Click on Confirm Changes.
