Why use the Home search tab?

Each time you sign in to the application, the Home search tab allows you to run a customized search, to create new pods in which to store alerts and saved searches, and to quickly access all your previously saved alerts, searches, and documents.

Following is a description of the various pods that are available.

  • Alerts

This pod lists up to eight of your most recent alerts. The activity indicator symbol to the right of the activity indicates if new alert results are available. You can navigate to the alert results.

  • Saved Searches

This pod lists up to eight of your saved searches. You can execute the saved search by clicking on the search name, or you can navigate to all your saved searches by clicking on the More link.

  • Recent Searches

This pod lists up to eight of your most recent searches. You can execute a recent search again by clicking on the desired link, or you can navigate to all your recent searches by clicking on the More link.

  • Recent Documents

This pod lists the documents you recently viewed. You can open a selected document by clicking on the document title, or navigate to all your documents by clicking on the More link.

  • Available Alerts

This pod shows the newest alerts shared by another user within the same account. You can click on the alert name, review the details, and choose to subscribe and receive regular updates. After you subscribe to an alert, you can immediately view its most recent results.

  • My Analytics

This pod provides an overview of your latest analytic updates created with the Nexis Analyzer feature, which is available only on selected accounts. You can click on the desired analysis item to navigate directly to your chart in Nexis Analyzer.

Using this tab is an excellent way to quickly launch new searches at any time, and to access and review saved items without having to first access other pages within the application.
