How do I submit a form to investigate an ID?

Note: This function is restricted to system administrators only.

Follow the steps below if you suspect that there has been a security incident, such as unauthorized use of a user ID, misuse of LexisNexis® services to obtain sensitive information about companies or people, etc. At your request, LexisNexis® Security Investigations will investigate an ID's usage in more detail.

  1. Click on the Admin link in the global navigation bar at the top of the page.
  2. Click on the Users tab.
  3. Click on the View Users tab. A list of users appears.
    Tip: If the list of users is not the correct one, you can select different options:
    1. Select from the Account, Product, and Preference Groups drop-down lists.
    2. Select to view active, suspended, or all users.
    3. Click on Update List.
  4. Click on the name of a user in the list. The User Details form appears.
  5. Click on the Submit ID for Investigation link under Compliance Investigation.
  6. Complete the Submit User ID for Investigation form, giving as much detail as possible.
  7. Click on Submit.
