What is IP authentication?
IP (Internet Provider) authentication is the process by which an application checks the network location (IP address) from which an end user is accessing the application via the Internet, to be sure the IP address is authorized to access it. Your firm has authorized a list of IP addresses that may be used by certain users to access Lexis Advance®. If a user who is required to sign in using an authorized IP address attempts to sign into Lexis Advance® from an address not on the list, the sign-in will not succeed.
To view the list of IP addresses authorized by your firm, select Organization from the left side of any page, and then select IP Addresses.
